Chasing Goals, and Protein
We want the macros, but we also want the taste. A look into why we refuse to compromise between hitting our goals and actually enjoying our lives.
We spend a lot of time looking at nutrition labels these days.
Somewhere along the way, protein maxxing became a default setting. We track macros, chase personal bests, and try to optimise everything we do.
But getting enough protein usually comes with a catch.
For a long time, the trade off was simple. If you wanted the macros, you accepted that your snack was going to taste like chalk, sand, or a weirdly dense brick of artificial sweeteners.
We got tired of eating things that felt like a chore.
That is why we started making our bakes. We wanted the macros, but we also just really wanted a brownie that tastes like an actual brownie.
It is about striking a balance. We are not just trying to build our best selves. We are trying to enjoy our lives too. And a good life includes good food.
The same goes for our coffee. We skip the heavy, sugar loaded stuff that makes you crash by 2pm. We just want clean, refreshing fuel that gives you the clarity to keep going.
You shouldn't have to compromise on taste just because you have goals.
